Ten Foot Pole, originally known as Scared Straight, was an American punk rock
band formed in 1983 in Simi Valley, California. The group initially consisted of
Scott Radinsky, Mike Thompson, Gary Gallanes, and Dennis Jagard. In the 1990s,
they changed their name to Ten Foot Pole to distance themselves from the
"straight-edge" reputation associated with Scared Straight. Under their new
moniker, they released Swill (1993) and Rev (1994). Following Radinsky's
departure due to his baseball career, Dennis Jagard took over lead vocals. The
