Swami
Swami, a British Indian electronic music/ bhangra/ world music act from
Birmingham, England, became active in 1998. Their debut album Desi Nu Skool
Beatz was released in 1999 and gained international recognition when the track
"Mehbooba" appeared in the 2004 film New York Minute. Swami's breakthrough came
with the release of their third album, DesiRock, which featured guest vocalist
Lehmber Hussainpuri. The band toured India following the release of So Who Am I
