Susana Baca
Noted for the splendor of her voice, Peruvian singer Susana Baca was discovered
in the 1990s. Winner of a Latin Grammy Award for the album Lamento Negro (2001),
her style combines contemporary elements (Cuban and Brazilian music, Latin jazz)
and modern instrumentation with traditional Afro-Peruvian music.
