Supermerk2, an Argentine cumbia villera band, was founded in 2003 by Óscar
"Chanchín" Sotelo and Sergio "Fideo" Galván in Laferrere, Buenos Aires. Sotelo
began the group while working as a hawker, and the ensemble quickly gained
traction with its debut single "Que Calor" from the 2008 album La Lata, which
achieved gold certification. Subsequent releases followed a steady progression:
"La Resaka," "El Avión," "Mulo Raro," and "La Gorda," each expanding the band’s
