Raelene Claire Claussen, known professionally as Sue Raney, was born on June 18, 1940, in McPherson, Kansas, and is an American jazz singer. She began her professional career at a young age, joining Jack Carson's radio show in Los Angeles in 1954 and later working with Ray Anthony's band. At 17, Raney signed with Capitol Records and released her debut album, When Your Lover Has Gone (1958), produced by Nelson Riddle.
