Strings
Strings, a Pakistani pop band from Karachi, was formed in 1988 by Bilal Maqsood,
Faisal Kapadia, Rafiq Wazir Ali, and Karim Bashirbhai. In 1990, they signed with
EMI Records and released their debut album Strings, which sold 20,000 copies in
its first week. Their second album, 2 (1992), featured the single "Sar Kiye Yeh
Pahar", which aired on MTV Asia and brought them widespread fame. The band
disbanded in 1992 but reunited in 2000, releasing Duur. In 2003, they released
Dhaani, featuring the single "Najane Kyun," which was included on the soundtrack
of the Hindi version of Spide...
