Country music
Steve Young was born on July 12, 1942, in Newnan, Georgia. He grew up traveling through Texas and Alabama, writing and playing songs that blended folk, blues, country, and gospel. He collaborated with Van Dyke Parks and joined the psychedelic country band Stone Country in the 1960s. His breakthrough came with the song "Seven Bridges Road", which was popularized by the Eagles on their 1980 live album.
