Steve Masakowski
Steve Masakowski, born September 2, 1954, in New Orleans, Louisiana, is an
American jazz guitarist and educator. Influenced by The Beatles, he began
playing bass guitar at age fourteen and co-founded the band Truth. In 1974, he
attended the Berklee College of Music to study music theory, arranging, and
composition. From 1976 to 1978, he studied classical composition and
orchestration with Bert Braud at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. In
