Stabbing Westward
Stabbing Westward is an American industrial rock band from Chicago, Illinois,
formed in 1985 by Christopher Hall and Walter Flakus. The musical journey of the
founders began while they were attending Western Illinois University. The band's
breakthrough came with the release of its debut album, Ungod, in 1994 under
Columbia Records, followed by tours as an opening act for Depeche Mode and
Killing Joke. Its second album, Wither Blister Burn & Peel, released on January
23, 1996, achieved success with the gold-certified singles "“Shame”" and "“What
