Spymob, an American alternative rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, formed in the early 1990s. The group, consisting of singer/keyboardist John Ostby, bassist Christian Twigg, guitarist Brent Paschke, and drummer Eric Fawcett, initially performed under the name Reno and recorded several demo songs that were later released as Basement Tapes. Their breakthrough came when they were discovered by Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo of The Neptunes after they listened to an early demo tape of the band.
