Southern Sons, an Australian rock band, was formed in Melbourne, Victoria in
1989. The group consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Irwin Thomas, who
initially performed under the stage name Jack Jones, along with members from The
State including Phil Buckle and Geoff Cain. Southern Sons' debut single "Heart
In Danger" was released in July 1990 and peaked at number 5 on the ARIA Charts.
Their self-titled debut album Southern Sons followed in November 1990, also
reached the 5th spot. The band's subsequent singles included "Always And Ever"
and the ballad "Hold Me In Your Arms", ...
