Southern Pacific, an American country rock band, was formed in 1983 by former
Doobie Brothers members Keith Knudsen and John McFee, bassist Jerry Scheff,
vocalist Tim Goodman, and keyboardist Glen Hardin. They signed with Warner Bros.
Records in 1984 and released their debut album, Southern Pacific, the following
year. After lineup changes, including the addition of Stu Cook from Creedence
Clearwater Revival and Kurt Howell on keyboards, they released three more
albums: Killbilly Hill (1986), Zuma (1988), and County Line (1990). Notable
