Soul in Sadness was a German rock and electronic pop band from Regensburg established in 2000. The group was led by vocalist Stefan Siegl, and the group released demos from 2000 to 2002 under the names SiS and SiS - Soul in Sadness before settling on the name Soul in Sadness in 2002. They performed their debut live concert in 2002, and at their second performance they won a newcomer competition. Later in 2002, Martin Sprissler offered the young group a record contract.
