Sophie Milman

Sophie Milman is a Russian-born jazz singer who grew up in Israel and has lived in Canada since the early 1990s. Encouraged to sing by her music teacher in Toronto, she landed gigs in local venues and she released an eponymous album in 2004 that went to number 22 on Billboard's Jazz Albums Chart. She followed that in 2007 with a concert album titled 'Live at the Winter Garden Theatre' (2007) and her second studio release, 'Make Someone Happy' (2007), reached number seven on the Jazz Chart.
