Sonia Johnson, born in 1974 in Saint-Alexis-des-Monts, Quebec, Canada, is a
Canadian singer-songwriter specializing in jazz and popular music. She began her
musical journey with classical singing training at the École de musique
Vincent-d'Indy in Montreal and earned a DEC concentration in classical singing
in 1994. Johnson's early career involved performing as a soloist or choriste. In
2005, she founded Les Productions Sonia Johnson and released her debut album,
