Son of Dave
Benjamin Darvill, known professionally as Son of Dave, is a Canadian
singer-songwriter and musician born on January 4, 1967, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Inspired by harmonica players James Cotton and Sonny Terry, Darvill played
harmonica, mandolin, guitar, and percussion in the folk rock band Crash Test
Dummies. In 2000, he returned to solo work, focusing on blues, beat-box, and
harmonica-driven music. His solo releases include the albums B. Darvill's Wild
West Show (1999), O1 (2000), and O2 (2006). The song “Devil Take My Soul” from
the latter was featured in the film License to Wed ...
