Smith & Thell
The Swedish pop and folk duo known as Smith & Thell was formed in 2012 in
Helsingborg and is comprised of vocalist Maria Jane Smith and guitarist and
singer Victor Thell. After recording a handful of singles throughout 2013 and
2014 the band began to gain recognition with the release of 'Statue' in 2015.
The track won the duo a Denniz Pop Award for Rookie Artist of the Year and a
year later they won the Musexpo Award for New Emerging International Artist at
an awards ceremony in Los Angeles.
