Slik
Slik, a Scottish pop group from Glasgow, were formed in June 1970 as Salvation
by brothers Kevin McGinlay and Jim McGinlay. The band initially included Nod
Kerr on drums, Mario Tortolano on keyboards, and Ian Kenny on guitar. After
several lineup changes, the band evolved into Slik in November 1974 with Midge
Ure as lead vocalist. They signed with Polydor Records but switched to Bell
Records after their debut single "Boogiest Band in Town" failed to gain
