Sirima Nicole Wiratunga, known mononymously as Sirima, was a British singer born
on February 14, 1964, in Isleworth, Middlesex. She spent her early childhood in
Sri Lanka and later returned to England with her family. Sirima's musical
journey began at a young age, influenced by her father’s guitar playing and the
traditional music of Sri Lanka. In 1982, she moved to France and started
