Born Charles Jones, Jr. in Akron, Ohio on April 25, 1973, the Southern soul and
blues singer, songwriter, and pianist is better known by his stage name, Sir
Charles Jones. Later moving with his family to Birmingham, Alabama, he began
writing, arranging and producing his own music. The self-proclaimed ‘Undisputed
King of Southern Soul’ began his musical career in 1994 when he became a backup
singer for blues / soul artist Marvin Sease. After leaving Sease’s employment in
