One of the most prolific and influential acts to ever emerge from the French
hip-hop scene, rapper Thomas Gérard Idir (June 26, 1980), better known by his
stage name Sinik, was born in Paris' 4th arrondissement to Algerian immigrants.
At the age of 4, he moved to Ulis with his family and spent a big part of his
