Sindicato Argentino del Hip Hop formed in 1994 in Argentina. The group emerged
from the Buenos Aires underground hip-hop scene, contributing to the first CD
compilation of local artists with Nación Hip Hop in 1996. Their breakthrough
came with "Del Barrio" from that compilation, which gained airplay on Latin MTV.
After being seen in the hip-hop documentary El Juego, they signed with Universal
Records and released their first official album Un paso a la eternidad, winning
