Silvana Di Lorenzo, born on May 1, 1954, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is an
Italian-Argentinian singer and actress. Raised in Naples, Italy, she began her
music career at 16 as a dancer and mime artist for Alejandro Romay's program on
Channel 9. Her breakthrough came in 1971 with performances on Música en Libertad
and Alta tensión. Di Lorenzo released her first album, Palabras, Palabras, in
1973 and continued to produce music until 1985. She won the Record World award
for Best Female Voice in 1977 and the Circe Award in Chile in 1983.
