Sibel Can
Sibel Can (born Sibel Cangüre on 1 August 1970 in Karagümrük, Istanbul) is one
of Turkish's best-known pop singers. After starting off her career as a belly
dancer aged just 14, she developed a taste for music by accompanying her
professional violinist father to concerts around Turkey. She stepped out with
her debut album in 1987, Günah Bize, which was produced by Kervan Plak and in
1988 started performing at Maksim Casino as a singer where she worked with
