Show-Ya, a Japanese female heavy metal band, was formed in 1981 by Keiko Terada
and Miki Nakamura. The group initially played together for a year before
entering the East West Grand Prix musical contest organized by Yamaha. After
changing their name from Medusa to Show-Ya, they won the contest for best female
group, securing a record contract with Toshiba EMI. Their debut studio album
Masquerade Show was released in 1985, followed by Queendom in 1986. The band's
