Shawn Lane
Shawn Lane was an American musician and composer born on 21 March 1963 in
Memphis, Tennessee. He achieved professional recognition for a musical style
characterized by guitar speed and jazz fusion influences. At age 14, he joined
the ensemble Black Oak Arkansas as lead guitarist. His recording career includes
the debut solo studio recording Powers of Ten (1992), which featured the track
“West Side Boogie” (1992). Beginning in 1994, he collaborated with Jonas
Hellborg on studio recordings including Abstract Logic (1995), Temporal
Analogues of Paradise (1996), and Time Is the Enemy...
