Sharon Redd
Sharon Redd (born on 19 October 1945 in Norfolk, Virginia, died 1 May 1992 in
New York) was an American soul and R&B singer whose career began with four
singles released in 1968 for United Artists, produced and written by
Bobby Susser, the first of which was "Half as Much" by Hank Williams. Her
breakthrough came in 1969 when she joined the Australian production of the rock
musical Hair, appearing with the troupe that included Marcia Hines and later
performing in Ti‑Jean and His Brothers and a 1974 London staging of The Wedding
