Rap revelation of 2014, Shamir (born Shamir Bailey in 1994) was just nineteen
when he appeared with the track "On the Regular". A former rock guitarist
converted to rap, this child of Las Vegas plays with genres and fuses R&B and
electro on his debut album Ratchet, released the following year, from which
"Call It Off" is taken.
