Born in Covè on February 20, 1984, Beninese singer Sèssimè, whose real name is
Bidossessi Christelle Guédou, showed an early interest in music and dance.
Inspired as much by the aura of an international star like Michael Jackson as by
the charisma of African diva Angélique Kidjo, she turned to afropop, zouk and
traditional music, opting for her stage name Sèssimè in reference to her first
name Bidossèssi, which means "Everything is in God's hands". Her career really
