Serj Tankian, an American of Armenian origin, was born in Beirut, Lebanon. Best
known as the lead singer and founding member of System of a Down, Serj Tankian
has been pursuing a solo career since 2007. This political activist and animal
rights defender released Elect the Dead in 2007, before proposing the live
recording Elect the Dead Symphony in March 2010. Imperfect Harmonies in 2010
ventures into jazz and electro influences, proof of Serj Tankian's eclecticism.
In 2012, the third album Harakiri returns to raw, melodic metal.
