September Mourning
September Mourning, an American alternative metal band, was formed in New York
in 2009 by frontwoman Emily Lazar and Marc Silvestri. The project centered
around a human-grim reaper hybrid named September navigating the worlds of the
living and the dead. In early 2011, Lazar and Egert self-produced Melancholia,
released on Repo Records exclusively in Germany. The band's first notable
single, "Before the Fall", premiered in a TNA Wrestling commercial in 2012. They
signed to Virgin Records in early 2014 and started writing their US debut album.
