Malo Ioane Luafutu, known professionally as Scribe, was born on May 29, 1979 in
Christchurch, New Zealand. He is a rapper and singer of Samoan descent. Scribe's
breakthrough came with the release of his debut single "Stand Up" in 2003, which
reached Number 1 on the New Zealand Top 40 singles chart and spent twelve weeks
at the top. His debut album The Crusader, released later that year under Dirty
Records, was certified four times platinum in New Zealand, selling 60,000
