School of Fish was an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles,
California, formed in 1989. Founded by vocalist Josh Clayton-Felt and guitarist
Michael Ward, the group initially performed as a duo before adding drummer
Michael Petrak and bassist David Lipson. In 1990, the band signed with Capitol
Records and released their first single on 7-inch vinyl. The group released the
debut album School of Fish in 1991. It reached number 142 on the Billboard 200
