Scandal was an American rock band formed in New York City in 1981 by guitarist
Zack Smith, with Patty Smyth serving as the lead vocalist. The initial line-up
included bassist Ivan Elias, guitarists Keith Mack and Zack Smith, keyboardist
Benjy King, and drummer Frankie LaRocka. Scandal gained early success with their
debut single "Goodbye to You" in 1982. Their first full-length album, Scandal,
was released the same year. The band's breakthrough came with the release of
"The Warrior" in 1984, which peaked at number seven on the Billboard charts and
