Satoshi Tomiie, born 富家哲 on 22 November 1966 in Japan, is a Japanese producer
and DJ whose career began in the late 1980s after a commission from a cosmetics
company led to a collaboration with Frankie Knuckles. His first single, "Tears",
released in 1989, established him within the house scene. In 1990 he followed
with "And I Loved You", and throughout the 1990s he produced and remixed for
artists such as U2, Mariah Carey, and David Bowie while touring internationally.
