Sarah McCoy (born on May 27, 1985) is an American jazz pianist and
singer-songwriter, whose dark, eerie tales of love and loss echo the work of
artists like Tom Waits or Nina Simone. A classically-trained musician, McCoy
used music as a coping mechanism to deal with the loss of both her father and
her grandmother. Before turning twenty, McCoy decided to hitchhike to California
to pursue a career in music. After working odd jobs and busking in the streets,
she ended up relocating to New Orleans, where she was discovered by chance by
French film director Bruno Moynie at a jazz club...
