Sapna Mukherjee
Born in 1975, Indian playback singer Sapna Mukherjee rose to prominence in the
late '80s and has since cultivated a successful career in the Bollywood film
industry, working with some of the biggest composers in the business, including
Nadeem-Shravan, Bappi Lahiri, Laxmikant–Pyarelal, and A. R. Rahman. She made her
official debut in 1986 by singing three songs for the soundtrack of the Hindi
action film Janbaaz. Her big break came in 1989 when music director Kalyanji
Anandji chose her to perform the song "Tirchi Topi Wale" in the Rajiv
