Born in the Philippines on July 19, 1970, Sandee Chan is a Taiwanese
singer-songwriter, producer, and music video director with Chinese roots and
Shanghai ancestry. She began exploring her musical side as a child, learning the
piano before going on to write her own songs as a student at the National
Chengchi University in Taiwan. After wowing at the university music contest
Young Star in 1991, she was signed to an indie label and began penning songs for
