Sammy Rimington, born Samuel Rimington on April 29, 1942, in Paddock Wood, Kent,
England, is a British jazz clarinetist. He began his professional music career
in 1960 when he joined Ken Colyer's band and stayed with them until 1965. In the
late 1950s, Rimington became an active New Orleans jazz revivalist, playing with
Barry Martyn in 1959. After moving to the U.S., he worked with Big Bill
Bissonnette’s Easy Rider Jazz Band and the December Band. His early recordings
