Born Felix Angyumanu Nyajo, the Austrian DJ and producer known professionally as
salute makes snappy house music for modern dancefloors. After taking their first
steps as a producer on SoundCloud in the early 2010s, they gained attention for
their remix of Aaliyah's "Rock the Boat" in 2012 and things quickly grew from
there. Their debut Lionheart EP arrived in 2013 and a remix of "Money on My
Mind" by Sam Smith for Capitol Records followed. After enlisting Abra for the
"Colourblind" collaboration on 2015's Gold Rush EP, salute, who is non-binary
