Salbakuta, a Filipino rap group formed in 2001, originated from members who initially worked as personal assistants for Andrew E. The group's name, "salbakuta," is Bicolano for "naughty" or "mischievous." Salbakuta achieved mainstream success with their breakout single "S2pidluv", which interpolated Barbra Streisand's "Evergreen". Despite controversy over explicit lyrics and the use of the sample, the song became a breakthrough hit.
