Formed in 1988 by musicians Luck Mervil, Rudy Toussaint, Frédérick Thivierge,
Éric Brassard, and Michel Gagnon, RudeLuck is a funk, reggae, and hip-hop band
from Quebec. After winning the competition L'Empire des futures stars in 1992,
the group headed into the studio and delivered their eponymous studio debut the
following year. Driven by the hit single "Faute pas craquer," which received
heavy airplay on several local radio stations, RudeLuck was also released in
