Rosemary Butler is an American singer and backing vocalist born as Rosemary Ann
Lane on 6 April 1947 in Fullerton, California. She achieved professional
recognition in the 1960s as the bassist and vocalist for the all-female ensemble
the Ladybirds, who performed as an opening act for the Rolling Stones in 1964.
Butler was a member of the psychedelic rock group the Daisy Chain (1967) and the
hard rock band Birtha (1968), releasing two studio albums with the latter before
their disbandment in 1975. She transitioned to a career as a backing vocalist,
