Ronald Michael Pope, known as Ron Pope, was born on July 23, 1983, in Newark,
New Jersey. He is an American singer-songwriter who began playing guitar at a
young age and started performing with various bands during high school. In 2007,
Pope co-wrote "A Drop in the Ocean," which became an internet hit. Pope released
several independent albums, including Daylight (2008), The New England Sessions
(2010), Whatever it Takes (2011), Atlanta (2012), and American Man, American
Music (2025). His music has also featured in shows like So You Think You Can
Dance and The Vampire Diaries.
