Ron Hawkins & the Rusty Nails
Ronald James Hawkins, born November 29, 1964 in Toronto, Ontario, is a Canadian
rock singer-songwriter and painter best known as a member of the band the Lowest
of the Low. Following the group's dissolution in 1994, he embarked on a solo
career, releasing the debut solo album The Secret of My Excess (1996). The
backing musicians on this record subsequently formed his next band, Ron Hawkins
and the Rusty Nails, which released the independent debut album Greasing the
Star Machine in September 1998. The group followed with the album Crackstatic
(2000) and the EP Airports of the Worl...
