Rocky Roberts
Charles Roberts, known professionally as Rocky Roberts, was born on August 23,
1940, in Tanner, Alabama, and was an American naturalized Italian rhythm and
blues singer. He began his career as a singer after joining the United States
Navy. In 1960, while stationed in France, he won a singing competition and
decided to pursue music full-time. He moved to Italy in 1962, where he formed
the band The Airedales. Their breakthrough came in 1965with two albums, and the
title track "T-Bird" for the popular radio show Bandiera Gialla. As a solo
