Guitarist with Procol Harum from 1967 to 1971, and for the 1991 and 1995 reunions, Robin Trower (born near London on March 9, 1945) began his solo career with the album Twice Removed from Yesterday (1973), and enjoyed a certain success, particularly with the following release, Bridge of Sighs (1974), which attracted American audiences. His style perpetuates that of the late Jimi Hendrix throughout the decade in the guitar-bass-drums trio formula, somewhere between blues and hard rock.
