Robert Walter, born May 3, 1970, in San Diego, California, is an American soul
jazz keyboard player known for his involvement with the Greyboy Allstars. Walter
began on piano before adopting the organ, learning from Dr. Lonnie Smith and
Reuben Wilson. His early career included the 1992 release Half Man Half Pie and
the EP Bad Radio (1993) with Creedle. In 1993, he co-founded The Greyboy
Allstars, which gained a following in San Diego and Europe. Walter’s solo
