Ricky Shayne, born George Albert Tabett on 4 June 1944 in Cairo, Egypt, was a
singer known for his contributions to pop and schlager music. Raised in Lebanon
as the son of a Lebanese father and French mother, he moved to Paris at 15 and
studied singing before putting down roots in Italy. His breakthrough came in
1965 with the Top 10 hit "Uno dei Mods" in Italy, followed by a gold record for
