Richard Yap
Richard Edison Uy Yap, born on May 18, 1967, in Cebu City, Philippines, is a
singer and actor. He graduated from Sacred Heart School in Cebu and De La Salle
University for college. Initially aspiring to be a chef, he launched his music
career by collaborating with Richard Poon on an album and a major concert. In
2013, Yap released his debut solo album Richard Yap, which included the single
"Salamat". His acting career began in 2011 with ABS-CBN's My Binondo Girl. He
gained widespread recognition for his role as Richard "Sir Chief" Lim in the
daytime drama Be Careful with My Heart...
